At Verve, we believe travel planning is deeply personal. Verve reads what it can on your iPhone, sends to the cloud only what a feature needs, and shares with friends only what you choose.
On Your iPhone First
Most of what you type is read right on your iPhone. Quick Capture pulls out the place, dates and who’s going on the device and asks Apple Maps where you mean; on iOS 26, Apple Intelligence on your device handles the messier sentences. Receipts and travel documents are scanned on your phone, too.
Cloud AI Only When You Ask
Google’s Gemini is used only for things that need it: an AI itinerary you asked for, Fill with AI, or—for Pro members—a trip description nothing on your phone could place. Those requests go through Verve’s own servers, never straight from your phone, and carry only the trip details the request needs.

On-Device Reading
Verve’s own parser reads the place, dates, length, activities, people and stay from your sentence, on your iPhone.

Apple Maps
Apple Maps turns the place into a real city with its coordinates and time zone. A confirmed place and a short sentence end the process here.

Apple Intelligence, On Device
On iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence, Apple’s on-device model reads messy or detailed sentences without anything leaving your phone.

Cloud AI, Last
Only when nothing above can place your trip—or when you ask for an AI itinerary—does Verve send the request to Gemini through our servers. Signed-out guests are asked to sign in first, so nothing goes to the cloud without an account.
Our Data Promise
Zero Data Selling
We don’t sell your plans, your locations, or your group habits to advertisers. Period.
Encrypted Sync
Your account and trips are stored with Google Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest, so they’re on all your devices and with the people you plan with. Links you save sync through your own iCloud.
Documents Stay on Your Phone
Passports, IDs and licenses are scanned on your iPhone and stored only there, protected by iOS Data Protection. They’re never uploaded.
Guests Stay Local
Use Verve without an account and nothing you make is written to our servers. It stays on your device until you sign up.
You Choose What Friends See
Friends see a trip only once it’s booked, and only the details you allow—our servers build their copy without the rest, so a hidden detail never reaches their phone.
Anonymous Place Guides
Which AI-suggested places people keep or skip, and the Apple Maps places they pick, are pooled into an anonymous score per place that only counts once at least five people are behind it—never your typed notes, stays or trip names. Turn it off in Settings ▸ Privacy Settings ▸ Improve Place Guides.
Analytics You Control
Usage analytics help us find what’s broken. Turn them off anytime in Settings ▸ Analytics Data.
Payments by Apple
Verve Pro is bought through the App Store. Your payment details never reach us.
