Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Verve ("Verve", "we", "us") about using the Verve app for iPhone and iPad, its widgets and extensions, Verve Events, and getverveapp.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Who Can Use Verve

You must be at least 13 years old to use Verve. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may use Verve only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.

Your Account

You can use Verve as a guest, without an account. Guest data lives only on your device, so it's lost if you delete the app or lose the device before signing up.

If you create an account (with email, Apple or Google), keep access to that email or sign-in method secure — anyone who can receive your sign-in code can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at hello@getverveapp.com if you think someone else is using it.

Verve Pro Subscriptions

Much of Verve is free. Verve Pro adds features and higher limits, as described in the app at the time you subscribe. Free-plan limits and what Pro includes may change over time; if a limit goes down, what you already made isn't deleted or locked.

Verve Pro is sold through the App Store. Subscriptions are paid in advance and renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before it ends, in your Apple Account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.

All payments are handled by Apple and can only be refunded by Apple, under Apple's policies. Please contact Apple for refunds — Verve can't issue refunds for App Store purchases.

"Unlimited" features are subject to fair use, so Verve stays fast and affordable for everyone: if use is far beyond what a person planning trips would need, we may slow it down or pause it, and we'll tell you in the app.

Trip Planning and Itineraries

You are responsible for your own trips. Verve is not a travel agency, tour operator or booking service, and isn't responsible for the places you choose to go or the services you use there. The Service exists to help you plan and coordinate travel.

Itineraries, ideas, place suggestions and day plans in Verve — including those drafted with AI — are recommendations only. You decide whether to go to any suggested place. Verve doesn't offer refunds for dissatisfaction with an itinerary or destination.

Prices, opening hours, addresses, events and other details of attractions, restaurants, hotels and venues come from third parties and can change without notice. Check important details with the venue before you go.

AI Features

Some features use artificial intelligence (Google's Gemini on our servers, and Apple Intelligence on your device) to draft itineraries, fill days, read receipts and links, and understand what you type. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date — it may suggest a place that's closed or doesn't exist. Review it before relying on it, especially for anything involving safety, money or deadlines.

Flights, Weather, Entry Requirements and Other Information

Flight details, weather, events, maps and photos come from third-party services. Verve doesn't guarantee they're accurate or up to date, and isn't responsible for a missed, delayed or cancelled flight or any cost that results. Verve doesn't sell flight tickets or add-ons.

Entry-requirement, visa and passport guidance in Verve is general information, not legal or immigration advice. Always confirm requirements with the embassy or official government source for your destination before you travel.

Expense splitting and balances in Verve are a record to help you and your group settle up. Verve doesn't hold or move money and isn't a party to any payment between people.

Bookings and Partner Links

Verve may show links to book a stay or tickets with partners such as hotel booking sites or Ticketmaster. Any booking you make is a contract between you and that partner, on its terms; Verve is not a party to it and doesn't handle the payment. We may earn a commission when you book through a link, at no extra cost to you.

Your Content

You own what you create in Verve — your trips, plans, notes, photos, expenses, saved links and anything else you add ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share it with, and as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies others already have (for example, a trip you shared) or that we must keep by law.

When you share a trip, invite people or post something that others can see — including events posted in Verve Events — you're responsible for what you share and for having the right to share it, including information about other people (such as trip guests you add by name).

Anonymous, aggregated information that doesn't identify you (such as how many travelers kept a place) isn't Your Content, and we may use it to improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

Don't use the Service to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
  • harass, threaten, impersonate or spam others, or post hateful, sexually explicit or violent content;
  • post false or misleading events or listings;
  • share someone's personal information without their permission;
  • access other people's accounts or data, get around limits, security or the App Store, or interfere with how the Service works;
  • scrape, copy or resell the Service or its content, or use it to build a competing product; or
  • send automated requests except through the official ways we offer (such as AI Assistants you connect).

You can block people in the app, and report anything that breaks these rules to hello@getverveapp.com. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

Third-Party Services

Verve works with services run by others — for example Apple, Google, TripIt, PayPal, Venmo, Unsplash, Ticketmaster, booking partners and AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT that you connect. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Verve isn't responsible for them. Cover photos from Unsplash belong to their photographers and are used under the Unsplash License.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, icons, artwork, text and the Verve name and logo, belongs to Verve and its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as these Terms and the App Store's Usage Rules allow. These Terms don't give you any right to use Verve's or anyone else's trademarks, logos or other intellectual property.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Ending Your Use

You can stop using Verve at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or that we're required to close by law; where reasonable, we'll tell you first. Cancelling an account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription — turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings. We may change or discontinue features of the Service; if we shut Verve down, we'll give you reasonable notice.

Disclaimers

We work hard to make Verve reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any information in it is accurate, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Verve won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost trips, bookings, profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including from relying on itineraries, AI suggestions, flight, weather or entry information, or from the acts of other users or third parties. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Verve Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Indemnity

If you break these Terms or the law, or misuse the Service or Your Content, and someone makes a claim against Verve because of it, you agree to cover Verve's reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

Apple

These Terms are between you and Verve, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you're not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Changes to These Terms

This page is the only copy of our Terms — the app opens it here, so you always see the current version. We may update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Verve after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't, please stop using Verve and delete your account.

General

If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of these Terms right away, we haven't given up the right to. You may not transfer these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Verve about the Service.

Change Log

2026-03-23 First version published.
2026-10-14 Rewritten in full: who can use Verve, accounts and guest mode, Verve Pro auto-renewal and fair use, AI features, entry requirements, expenses, partner links, your content, acceptable use, third-party services, ending your use, disclaimers, limitation of liability and Apple's terms. The app now opens this page instead of carrying its own copy, so changes take effect without an app update.
